Thanks Zhonghua for this message.
I think everyone should read this.

This story is called "Refiner of Silver"

There was a group of women in a Bible study on the book of Malachi.
As they were studying chapter 3, they came across verse 3, which said.
"He will sit as a refiner & purifier of silver."
This verse puzzled the women and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.
One of the women offered to find out about the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible study.

That week this women called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work.
She didnt mention anything about her reason for her interest in silver beyond her curiousity about the process of refining silver.
As she watched the silversmith; he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up.
He explained that in refining silver, 1 needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were the hottest as to burn away all the impurities.

The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot.
Then she thought again about the verse, that he sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.
She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.

The man replied,"Yes." He not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire.
If the silver was left even a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.
The woman was silent for a moment.
Then she asked the silversmith,"How do you know when the silver is fully refined?"

He smiled at her and answered,"Oh that's easy. When I see my image in it."

Malachi 3:3 "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."

Isn’t it interesting that in Acts 11, at the end of verse 26, it says, “The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.”

What I find interesting is the simple thought that the Christians didn’t name themselves. But rather, they were called (or named) “Christians” by those watching their lives. I wonder if it would be the same today. Could someone look at your life or look at my life and name me a Christian?

"Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."

Had sakae today.
Sushi, sushi, sushi.
Sashimi sashimi sashimi!

Thank God for the presentation for my GEMS.
I really thank God for putting me in position where I can tell more people about my culture.
Even for my mum who is so enthu about me telling everyone about her cooking. Haha.

Sometimes I just have so much desire to bring my friends to Christ.
But I have so much fear.
God let the SUN STAND STILL NOW!
And let the dream come to past.

So Joshua marched up from Gilgal with his ENTIRE ARMY, including ALL THE BEST FIGHTING MAN.

The LORD said to Joshua,Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you.”

After an ALL-NIGHT MARCH from Gilgal, Joshua took them by surprise.

The LORD threw them into confusion before Israel, so Joshua and the Israelites defeated them completely at Gibeon. Israel pursued them along the road going up to Beth Horon and cut them down all the way to Azekah and Makkedah.

As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the LORD hurled large hailstones down on them, and MORE OF THEM DIED FROM THE HAIL THAN WERE KILLED BY THE SWORDS OF THE ISRAELITES.

On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel:

“Sun, stand still over Gibeon,
and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.”
13 So the sun stood still,
and the moon stopped
,
till the nation avenged itself on its enemies,

as it is written in the Book of Jashar.

The SUN STOPPED in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.

There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the LORD listened to a human being. Surely the LORD was fighting for Israel!

Then Joshua returned with ALL Israel to the camp at Gilgal.

Joshua 10:7-15 (NIV) (Self Emphasis)

Want to win a victory in your life?
Start by praying a AUDACIOUS prayer.
Then take an AUDACIOUS step of faith by AUDACIOUS ACTION.
it may be the longest ALL NIGHT walk you may have to do.
But it will be worth while.

Remember God's promise to Joshua was that do NOT be afraid of them. Not a single one of them will be able to withstand you.
And God is promising us the exact same thing.

HAPPY 2011!

If 2010 was good for you.
I pray 2011 will be the best year you ever had.

I was looking back on 2010.
It struck me that I started out by scraping through it.
But as time progressed, I refocused.
Thank GOD for it.
Things really did change.
I was no longer the Dharmen I was in 2010.

In 2011,
I want to become more like the Dharmen that God wants me to be.

Therefore, you kings, be wise;
be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear
and celebrate his rule with trembling.

Psalms 2:10-11
